Five Great Things About: Harvey Beaks!

- Harvey Beaks has an absolutely beautiful art style. The backgrounds, character designs, and building sets used on the show are so unique and creative! Every episode is visually stunning and the lighting especially is lovely.

- Every single character is sweet, funny, and enjoyable. It’s impossible to pick a favorite because all of the characters are one of a kind, and an absolute joy to watch on screen. Even the background ones I can’t help but get excited about when they get even a moment on screen!

- Harvey, Fee, and Foo are the main characters, and their friendship is so refreshing and fun to watch. They support each other, care deeply for one another, and the zany situations they get into never cease to make me smile. Fee and Foo are my favorites and are super close. They have a cool sibling relationship that shows that they really love each other, even if their rough and tumble attitudes make them sometimes seem like they fight a lot. But in reality they just like the same thing and don’t mind getting a little dirty! And Harvey, the mild, polite, goody two shoes kid who’d never think of doing anything bad whatsoever, is their best friend and is getting a taste of what Fee and Foo’s more wild side of the tracks is like, and gets into all kinds of trouble along with them. It’s really cool seeing all of their adventures and the dynamic they have is the heart of the show.

- And speaking of, this show is just full of heart. They balance comedy and sweet moments expertly. And each plot, though really funny, knows when to stop, take a knee, and have a nice, heart-felt moment where we get to explore the relationships of these characters. How they balance those two themes is really neat to watch.

- THE SCORE. Harvey Beaks is privileged enough that they actually have a real orchestra doing the score for every episode, and the final results show their care and devotion! The music is just beautiful. I could listen to Harvey songs all day long. And their cast does just as wonderful a job. All of the child characters (our mains included) are portrayed by child actors and they do a magnificent job. Again, the heart and care put into this show is unreal and the best part about it!
